You can go there and sign up with the leader of your choice.
We have about 10 leaders who will be leading a 6 week discussion
group on the product.
http://www.TurboProfits.com/tracking/go.php?c=2_21_group
Each week you’ll see a special video I create for the group
that is 15-20 minutes long and presents a group activity.
You’ll do the activity and share results WITH your group.
This will get you to DO what I teach in ORIS and also give
you the chance to interact with others on the same page as
you!
1. Payment is TO the group leader, not me.
Any refunds would be handled by them. I am NOT responsible
for this.
2. Groups will last 60 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes,
depending on the discretion of the leader.
3. Each leader only has room for 10-12 in the group. If
more than that sign up, you will be credited towards another
group or refunded.
I don’t have a way to shut down sign ups after 10 people.
Shortly, I’ll release a report that describes these groups
in more detail. But since I only have 10 group leaders trained,
you might wanna sign up now!
http://www.TurboProfits.com/tracking/go.php?c=2_21_group
a. You meet on the phone an hour or so each week with 10 others
b. You watch a video from me
c. You do the activity

C. MAIN ARTICLE
New Faux Blog Format Sells Lights Out
Subtitle: Two New Conversion Formats You Can Use To Promote
Affiliate Offers Or Your Own Products
By Marlon Sanders
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
So you have that affiliate product you want to
sell via pay-per-click, to your list or with
ezine ads.
Or you have your own product that you’ve hammered
your list with but still need to SUCK out more
sales.
Or you want to sell something that is already
being sold by a boatload of affiliates.
Or you want to BOOST conversions on an existing
offer.
Or you want to give your affiliates and easy
way to do a new presell hardly anyone else is using.
I want to present TWO ideas for you that are
“Tipping Point” good.
You ORIS (Ockham’s Razor Income System) folks will
understand the importance of that.
METHOD 1: New Faux Blog Format
Go to http://www.msnbc.com
Scroll to the Google Adwords ads at the bottom of
the page. You’ll see ads similar to these:
Rachael Ray’s Diet Recipe
I lost 47 lbs in 3 Months Using The Rachael Ray Diet. Find Out How.
www.RachelRaysGift.com
Oprah’s Flat Stomach Diet Revealed
Eliminate 2 Lbs of Stomach Flab a Week by Obeying 1 Simple Rule.
LorriesWeightLoss.com
1 Flat Stomach Rule: Obey
I Cut Down 6 lbs of Stomach Fat Per Week by Obeying this 1 Simple Rule
HelensDiet.com/Secret
These ads are called “Faux Blogs”.
Check ‘em out. They appear to be blogs. But really, they’re presell
pages for affiliate offers. Keep your eyes peeled and you’ll see
lots of these.
Mostly for weight loss offers. But I see no reason the format won’t
work for other categories.
This is cutting edge.
This is tipping point.
Now, we could debate whether or not this is ethical, moral or
transparent marketing.
My opinion is that people KNOW they’re clicking on an ad.
They KNOW they’re seeing commercial speech.
But I could certainly understand someone who sees it differently.
What I CAN tell you is this relatively new format has been killing
it in terms of conversions of offers.
If you sell affiliate products, you can create one of these faux
blogs in an hour or two.
A lot of them are html and don’t even SAY they are blogs.
They just LOOK like it. Some have the word BLOG in their url.
The cool thing is you’re basically writing a presell. It just
seems more PERSONAL and less salesy than a regular presell page.
That is the reason it works.
I think this is a dynamite method to try out with Google PPC.
Google will see it isn’t a blatant squeeze. It adds value.
What’s NOT for them to like about it?
You can also run it on the content network and roll it out to
banners.
There’s a LOT to like about this method right now. Of course,
the results will fade with time. Then the NEXT innovation will
kick in.
But this is a great example of what I teach in ORIS. A very
nice example of ORIS applied to promotion.
METHOD 2: The Multi-Page Report
This is a method I used last week.
http://www.marlonsanders.com/destiny2
What you do is create a report and make it a multi-page ordeal.
Now, I have NOT split tested this yet vs:
a. A PDF report.
b. Having the report on one very long page.
Normally, I’d rather make people scroll than click. That is why
you have to WORK to make sure you give people a really compelling
reason to CLICK to the next page.
You’ll notice on the URL I just gave you that at the bottom of
each page, I have a really strong HOOK to get you to the next
page.
But the overall concept here applies whether you use a PDF, multi-
page format or one long page.
I like the multi-page format because you don’t see it a lot.
PDF’s and long sales pages are a dime a dozen. This format is
fresh.
The idea is that you HOOK people in with very compelling information
that pulls them DEEPER into your topic.
You set the hook REALLY deep.
THEN…you make the transition to your sales page using a direct
or stealth approach.
I initially tried a Stealth approach by putting the links I wanted
click at the BOTTOM of pages 4 and 5.
Look at the bottom of this page:
http://www.marlonsanders.com/destiny2/fate4.html
Now, to be honest, I think we ended up with too many links there.
It would be better if there were only a couple.
I may go back and change that today.
Then on the last page, I just signed off with my name and had a link
to my “money” page (sales page) after my name.
That wasn’t working so well. Although in theory it does. It appeals
to people who would rather discover than be sold.
However, I gave in after 250 clicks and just put a big honking link
on page 5 to my money page.
However, I worded it as another content page.
http://www.marlonsanders.com/destiny2/fate5.html
The link says:
“How to Find and Promote Tipping Point Products”
That sounds like a continuation of the report.
You’ll also notice I added a VIRAL component where I asked people
to agree to tell 2 of their friends if I did accurately predict
their future.
The “prediction” angle is an indirect lead that doesn’t let you
know you are being sold. That is so you can sink your hook or
hooks in deep before you make that transition.
The other thing about the prediction lead is my prediction is
about the reader.
There is ONE thing we all love reading about guaranteed..
Ourselves!
That’s the sum total of theory behind that.
I modelled my multi-page format after two people.
http://www.TurboProfits.com/tracking/go.php?c=2_21_bully
Notice the small links at the bottom. One of them goes to
another long multi-page report.
Andre is friends with Brent Jones who I believe originally
came up with this format. NOT that multi-page sales letters
are unique.
Here is one of Brent’s works. I don’t think all the links
in it work anymore. Not sure what happened there. But you’ll
see it’s a VERY compelling report.
http://www.multipliermethod.com/operation-cashflow/
His opening page is more compelling than mine. Notice how
that page REALLY sucks you in! Beautiful.
And to those doubters and skeptics who say people won’t read
long reports or copy, I BET you do!
It ALL hinges on how well you tap into the feelings, emotions
and desires of your audience.
Who ELSE brings you cutting edge info like this weekly?
Why not take a moment to TELL 2 friends? Hit a few people up
on your Facebook or Myspace. Or post in a forum. Or just tell
a few of your friends ’bout me over the phone.
A lot of my subscribers come organically. From friends telling
friends.
Here’s my blog. Scroll to the bottom and you can post your
comments. I personally read and respond.

Very interesting business method and I know it works you will be paying me on Monday
.
That said this is an idea that needs to go in the locked drawer as I have started applying some of the items from the twitter conversation this morning.
Set up a new blog, will be buying a new domain and tracking the results on the other blog and sent an email to all previous purchasers for actual results and offered three people support to test the process for the rights to blog their results.
Thanks again for the ideas.
[Mike, nice way to take action! And yes, PROOF, proof and more proof. Then current proof. New proof. New results. More results. MOre evidence. More proof. See, it pays to be on Tweet Deck.]
Hi Marlon,
I don’t know if you noticed but the RachelRayGift site (www.RachelRaysGift.com) has an interesting Geographic feature.
When you click the “about” page (http://www.rachelraysgift.com/category/about-me/)
it gives the name of the person who owns the site (ya, right) and says they are from “Utica, NY”.
I thought ‘wow’,… an internet marketer from my own little town
set this up- I gotta meet them. But then I was skeptical…
I looked at the ‘source code’ and found this script tag:
script src=http://j.maxmind.com/app/geoip.js
I bet if you go to that page it will say they are
from “whatever,TX” – the town you are in and if
you’re in California it’ll say “whatever, CA”
I thought that was an interesting touch…
-Dave
[David, yeah they have geo script that works. I tried one two years ago but it didn't work worth crap. That's neat they figured out how to do it right!]
Got a great product, but conversions suck and perhaps it’s lack of copy, but most are overwhelmed when it comes to copy about SEO/WSO. They just don’t want to know how it works, they want to sign up and get the traffic and make sales.
so having a product that everyone wants, all 300 Billion people in the world and for those that don’t want it, maybe they know someone who does and can’t live without it…
That’d be good.
[Hey Michael, I'm not sure the issue. You are saying your conversions suck? Have you tried rows 5 and 6 of Promo Dashboard? You use the "full arsenal" I teach there including ustream, webinars, podcasts, camtasia videos, and my whole conversion formula.]
Hi Marlon
Another great article
The reason I read every email you send isn’t just because you send content messages stuffed with ACTIONABLE content.
It’s because you share things with your members IMMEDIATELY.
In your emails I can almost sense your excitement when you discover a new money making idea, and I consider the fact that you give out these insights immediately to be fantastic.
This is why I recommend everyone gets on your ezine.
Keep up the great work!
Cheers
Lee McIntyre
[Hey Lee, appreciate the feedback bro. Keep up the good work!]
I could not locate any adsense on the msnbc.com site ?
[Dennis, the ads are always at the bottom. You can also go to sub pages and find em. But I reprinted 3 of the ads you'll find there in the ezine. So THAT has the links to sample faux blogs.]
Hey Marlon,
I read your harsh email last week putting down people that are not taking action.
I think there are degrees of training and also understanding before one takes action.
I purchased your dashboard last year and still haven’t taken action.
First off, there were too many steps and I being new (not anymore) will be taking action soon but not using the dashboard.
I might look at the promo dashboard but how many affiliate links are attached to those.
Your info on the blog is a bit too much for me but I am sure the info is good.
[Hi Kal, if the info was harsh for you, it wasn't MEANT for you! Does that make sense? I have people on my list who KNOW what to do. They aren't newbies. They KNOW what to do. They aren't DOING it. THAT is who it's for. They buy everything and do little or nothing. I understand as a newbie you have to take things a bite at a time. Let me also say to choose ONE dashboard. And just do ONE icon at a time. Do NOT look at how many icons there are. If you focus on one icon at a time, you'll find it DOES work for you. But you DO learn by DOING. The ONLY way you're going to learn is if you do. You can read all you want. But you'll never learn. You only learn by doing and making mistakes.]
I didn’t find it, still don’t know what faux blog is but I am very interested in conversion.
[Kat, the links are IN the ezine article. I printed the ads FROM msnbc. Look at the ads in the ezine that I reprinted and go to the links.]
I think we have ads blocked by AdBlock+ or something like that. Mine don’t show up either and last week I saw something that showed how many were blocked.
Marlon, Marlon, Marlon, have you always been a genious or can we all learn how? Excellent everything – and I read very few guru programs going back to 2003 — I may buy them but never get past the first few pages – until now.
BTW-The groups you’ve put together have a value of at LEAST $1500 a month if you hired an agency to do weekly calls, plus all the rest, and that’s MINIMUM for each group that would be a whole lot smaller than 10-12.
$ne dollar saved is $ne dollar earned – it goes straight to the bottom line.
[Hey Leah, how are you? I think these groups are exciting. It's beta and we'll make mistakes. But still.....Leah, genius amounts to 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration. I don't know if I can evolve my small group vision or not. I've already tried once. I've studied the idea for several years now.]
Hi Marlon, I think the link you sent for the Faux Blogs confused a lot of people because your examples were not at the bottom of the linked page which made everyone have to try and find what you were referring to.
Perhaps in future just tell people to type in the URL shown in your example to see what you are referring to in future. (Just a suggestion because I could not find it either but thought outside the square and used the url to check it out).
I thought the Faux Blogs was a very interesting concept which I am going to explore next week with a Clickbank product because it is something I may teach my newbies if it works well.
I found the examples used ‘personal experience selling’ instead of from a ‘promotional/review’ standpoint type of sales pitch.
Not sure how many Clickbank products you could do this with without really purchasing the product first. But very interesting way to get around the Google direct linking issue which is a pain in the butt when you are testing to find profitable niches.
Anyway, thanks Marlon I found it a very interesting example.
PS. Keep up the Clickbank and conversion emails as I find these are people’s biggest bugbear when it comes to marketing online.
Cheers
Pammieb.com
[Pam, I'll probably do a little video on the ads at some point. Thanks for your feedback here. Hope you do something from this that works for you!]
Hey Marlon,
I run a service business for 32 years and this internet stuff is taking it’s toil.
I’ve been at my desk all day working on getting my 2 websites going with two different web designers. I’ll tell you the amount of stuff one has to do among the stuff THAT is already BEING DONE (if you know what I mean).
Because I am an old fart in a new game it is going to take time as well as trying eventually switch from one game to another.
I was also successful in MLM fulltime for 6 years by DOING (and that also took a lot of in ya face if you know what I mean)
I know what you mean though because I remember having almost 15,000 distributors in my downline and they were afraid to talk to people.
Marlon thanks for the feedback. at least I know you have the time to respond.
Kal
[Kal, OK, so doing isn't your issue. So that article wasn't for you. IT takes a LOT To get 15,000 in a downline. A lot. Daegan Smith has a great system if you still have the downline.]
Ask and ye shall receive:
1. I think ANYONE should be very interested in increasing conversion rates, and thus increasing ROI. Segmenting your traffic sources and finding out where buyers are coming from will also increase those rates when you focus on the productive segments.
2. Hearing more about Clickbank would be good.
3. I see how and plan to use both the multi page format and the foux blog format for sure.
Funny you bring the blog thing up, just the other day I followed the “One Rule” ad just for kicks and discovered it was a fake blog, lol great idea, I studied it for a while.
[Ken, the faux blogs are converting very well right now. I urge you to try it. Thanks for your feedback here. Segmenting is something that has a long way to go in IM because of how autorreponders work currently.]
Hi Marlon,
As usual, just as Lee says above you do share some awesome content.
I was thinking, you could sell the content on your blogs on their own.
You know Marlon – I never saw those Faux Blogs until you mentioned it.
They must convert better or else why use them.
You know what I noticed…
I clicked on 2 different Ads there and both were exactly the same format – even the colour, right down to the formating.. Only the wording was different.
I also noticed they were CPA Ads – Must be testing phase.
Interesting how they work out.
What I dont understand is why would you build a Faux Blog when a real blog with a Full size Template would probably work better anyway.
Its like Andres sales letters – the one that you mentioned in your blog post, aren’t they actually a blog setup to look like Sales letters?
Its a very clever way to “hook” them in if you are an accomplished copy writer and know how to use ” Mass Control” I guess.
Thanks Marlon – For the content, education and of course the Entertainment – After all Charles Heflin did say – Enlighten, Educate and Entertain, and the viral traffic will have a life of its own !
Hamant
Hi Marlon-
First off, “wow, you had me at hello” ;0 [ OK I couldn't resist that movie tag line].
A couple of comments:
Faux Blogs: I’ve been wrestling with this in terms of implementation. Do I set up a generic WP blog, then do keyword research to create dozens of categories, then RSS feed to blog to get content to the categories, then alt tag to the aff link offer in message body and sidebars, then send adverts to one of the sub-category pages relevant to the offer? I think that’s way I see the execution map? However, I just want to be sure I’m not missing something?
MultiPage Offer: Not sure I understand the real benefit of this. It’s new, so I suppose that is a benefit as it doesn’t look like everything else, but when I was presented with your offer (before this ezine post) at http://www.marlonsanders.com/destiny2/ I wasn’t really excited that I had to click through so many times (compelled to click through but not happy it took the click time out of me
. I’m probably missing the point? Would you kindly expand or give examples why this works say, using an affiliate product or your own developed from your dashboard?
I’ve bought every IM implementation course/membership probably on the Internet planet. Your product dashboard is by FAR the most organized, and I probably just should have bought that one 2 years ago when I got started learning IM. So the comment above regarding the dashboard is absurd, bordering ridiculous coming from a viewpoint with little execution experience and too much opinion
. Keep up the great work Marlon, you really add unique value to IM.
[Hey, thanks for the comments on the Dashboard! On the multi page, you have to split test vs. putting it all one one page and vs. a pdf. Here's the thing: This is something people without a great deal of experience can actually WRITE since each page has one concept. It's something people don't see a lot. Each page is short and there are NO GRAPHICS if you notice. So the page should load lightning fast, reducing the issue with clicking. You can also bury SMALL links at the bottom to let people "discover" another free report or your blog. You are over thinking the faux blog. These aren't even real blogs. They are html pages that appear to be blogs. This lowers sales resistance since they don't appear to be pitches. If you want to do REAL blogs, get Tinu's Evergreen Traffic System.]
Nope, No downline just doing Internet marketing down the line. At least that’s the goal. MLM companies are in control of your paycheck Marlon and some of those companies are not that great.
I keep trying to replace my business of time and services vs time and residual services which is what you teach.
Anyway I’m re-exploring your web design dashboard since I’ve learned alot more from the field.
[Kal, alright man. You're on a good track. Keep it up.]
Marlon,
Some really good stuff here!
The multi-page approach – I personally prefer this when surfing a site, so like the format for a sales page.
As I mentioned on twitter – wondering what the conversions would be like if after page 5 it went to a very basic (aka short) sales page rather than the long normal one that you have. Guess we would have to test to find out.
The Faux Blogs – excellent idea. One could set up a standard WP blog – then strip all the links away from it except the purchase links. Once done, then each post would actually be a new sales page that one could set up a new adwords campaign for. Drop dead simple once initial setup is done.
Great Stuff
Jack
[Jack, thank God SOMEONE got the faux blog idea. I didn't explain it well. I see your point on the short sales letter after the long report. Very valid point. I could almost go to an order link. Jack why don't you try out our ORIS small groups. Beta but could lead somewhere...to bigger things.]
Hi Marlon,
I’ve been running across these fake blogs, and have even written about them, but never considered trying to use the format myself – duh! I just think it might backfire since after you’ve seen the 5th one with the same content and a different name, you know it’s a lie – oops, I mean an ad. They’re listed in all sorts of blog directories too. They’ve done a good job of getting them out there.
Those multi-page things – we used to do those years ago. If I remember correctly, it was to have more pages that could be indexed and internal links – but the conversions were bad – you’d lose people along the way. So everyone went to the long sales letter and kept people on one page. (nothing new under the sun is there?)
[Carole, the multi page thing IS different. I agree on the click from page to page and I was probably the first major advocate of the 1 page sales letter in Gimme My Money Now. However, this is different. You really create a great hook at the bottom of each page. And have no graphics so it loads fast. And a few pages in you put subtle links to money pages for people to discover at the bottom. But yes, it needs split testing vs. a pdf vs. one long page. I do NOT see this as one long sales letter though. It is NOT a sales letter. It's a report. And SHOULD be a gripping one. Did you go to the operation cashflow page. Bet you read through it. IT's VERY compelling. Hope to see you in an ORIS small group.]
Hi Marlon,
I want to let you know I do appreciate what you have taught me about affiliate marketing no buts about it none at all.
Thanks.
[Hey man, appreciate you saying that and I HOPE I have tons more to teach you. The small groups for ORIS will be good. Hope 2 see you in one.]
Re the fake address on the About Me page… I’m in Dunedin, New Zealand, at the moment. The page tells me…
“My name is Destiny Collier (owner of this website) from Dunedin, F7…”
I suppose we can laugh at it, but lies like this give all Internet marketers a bad name. It may be clever but it’s lying and it’s deceptive marketing.
[Allan my friend, how in the WORLD are you these days? Glad you are reading. On Twitter, I'm twitter.com/marlonsanders. Now, I wasn't endorsing the geographic trick. I did NOT even notice! David pointed it out in a blog comment. The way I planned on using it was to put their country in the headline, which would not be deceptive at all. Just simple personalization. But my script didn't work at all. The POINT is that the faux blog format IS converting gangbusters. And whether you make it a REAL wordpress blog or an html page matters little. Make it a WordPress or blogger blog if you want. The PERSONAL feel of it DOES increase conversions. That was the point. I didn't mention the geo script nor did I notice it. Take care my fine friend and awesome to hear from you!]
The one-page sales letter is great but for 2 reasons: #1 I HATE scrolling and #2 I skim, we all skim and this can be skimmed!
Now here’s the real idea… I just remembered something JDD Publishing put out awhile back.
It’s called “Traffic Changer” where you ask a question and depending what answer out 3 or 4 – that’s where the link goes.
4 possible answers require 4 different paths to follow. That’s “directing traffic” right?
Tell a true Story, be yourself and you’re destined for big things. Be real. Most Copywriters don’t come across like the real thing.
[Hey Leah, we haven't tested that approach yet but it's on my list. It's a good one. What I think people overlook is Brent Jones had some very high conversion rates with this method. It definitely works.]
Hey Marlon,
Bro, first off I gotta say thay I no of no other marketer (big or small) who takes so much of their own time to personally interact with the people who follow them.
That is another reason I take my hat off to you.
I think the faux blogs is a very interesting concept and one that I will be using myself and testing.
With regards to your questions as to what I would prefer to see more of in your future newsletters…
CONVERSIONS please Marlon. I want to know everything there is to know about converting as many visitors as possible. People are far to quick to accept a 1% or 2% conversion rate for sales letters but this is just way too low. I want as higher conversion as possible as this is far easier than trying to double or triple your traffic to get more sales.
Your content is pure Gold Marlon and that is another reason that I was very happy to recommend you on Mr.Tweet today (http://mrtweet.net/googlemyname).
Please don’t stop the brilliant content you provide. Personally, I would follow you for life based on that one thing alone.
Have a great day,
Michael Sherriff
[Michael, thanks so much for your tweet! And I appreciate your positive comments very much. You should be a small group leader for ORIS, if you aren't. I don't have the list in front on me. At least get IN a group so you can lead one later on. It could lead to other things.]
Marlon,
I have a 3 page site and basically copied Andre Chaperon. My little 3 page mini-course does well and sells a decent amount of Clickbank products.
I have a few graphics on there, but nothing over the top. Here is the page in case people want to see another example of this in action. I link to it from my blog and it makes a nice income for me each month.
http://fitnessblackbook.com/low-body-fat-percentage/
Question…you mentioned something about ending with a link instead of signing off with my name.
Any suggestions?
Love it that you are always on the cutting edge, buddy!
Rusty
[Rusty, the big link did a lot better for me. But split test vs. PDF and one long page. HOpe 2 see you in an ORIS small group.]
Hi Marlon,
Gads I wish I had your brain (and about 25% of your income to go with it). Very interesting about the faux blog idea – won’t be long and someone will be outputting templates to build them and then they will decrease in value rapidly. Seems like that’s how the market goes.
I am so guilty of the not taking action and I know how to do stuff… it’s the old procrastination bug that kills most of us with the big ideas and dreams that just sit on our hard drives gathering cyberdust bunnies by the tons.
Thank you so much for all you do and share, you are a good teacher and you live what you teach, which makes it all the better.
Keep on and stay healthy and happy,
Donna (yet another Marlon fan)
[Donna, here's the thing, have you read ORIS (Ockham's Razor Income System)? Do what I say in there. Produce Tipping Point Products. And the rest. Grow. Expand. Be. I'd like you to consider being an ORIS leader specializing in customizing it for newbies. And you have a ready audience.]
Hi Marlon,
As a newbie to IM I read everything I can get my hands on that is written by you. You give excellent content, I sure commend you for doing so. Believe me, I have read and studied a lot of other marketers, but NO ONE comes through like you do. Sure there is a lot of material and things to learn, and things I don’t understand, but I am doing a lot to learn the systems.
As for the faux blogs it appears to be a great way to market, but I am gun ho on the multis, with click the next page, as long as the # of pages are not beyond 4-5 to get to the sales page. Being new to IM and doing research on marketers, I have received several of these reports in this format in the past month. I don’t know if this is a recent new idea or been out for a while, but I LIKE THE IDEA, and plan to implement .
Again Marlon, I for one appreciate all you do in providng excellent content especially to a newbie like me.
BTW, I am following you on twitter and have gotten on board with tweetdeck..
Glenn
[Hey Glenn, glad to hear I'm serving you well. I think the multi page strategy is a good one for you to start with. You don't need graphics. And you can work additional split tests off of it with a PDF version and a long page version.]
Hi Marlon,
I bet you don’t write the replies yourself. It took me hours to read your Emails every time and very Thankful for their content! Certainly not able to reproduce your work output! It will take me days to write 1 of your Email even if I have your knowledge! I suppose that is why you can dish out all your secrets and still no one can compete.
Thank you for all your good work.
John Ng
[Hi John, yes, I write these replies myself. In the future, I might have staff do it but currently I write these. John, you have to find what works for you. If writing doesn't work for you, perhaps audio or video. It does get easier the more you practice.]
Hey Marlon,
Thanks for bringing faux blogs to my attention.
The geo script would be great for delivering affiliate links to those in specific countries. I am not sure if I am fully accurate here but I understand if you want to sell products around the world through Amazon.com you would have a hard time. Because Amazon has several sites such as a .UK .FR .DE etc. If you promote .com and someone from England buys but click over to the Amazon UK first because its closer to them, you will lose the sale.
With Geo location you could just serve an amazon ad from the nearest amazon site to the site visitor. Of course you would need to sign up to all the Amazon associate programs for each of their sites.
A lot of CPA sites like Azoogle Ads have offers only to US residents. So if the visitor is not from the US and they click on your affiliate link they are taken to an unrelated offer or even a page saying not available in your area. With a geo script you could replace the ad with something similar.
As for using it to lie thats just not right.
In case anyone is interested, I was able to determine that the geo script used in one of the faux blogs is from:
http://www.maxmind.com/
Keep up the great work Marlon.
Eric B
PS I just started my Internet Marketing account on twitter today and added you right away)
[Hi Eric, interesting. Appreciate you sharing. My plan on the geo location script was just to work the location into the headline. Like: A Special Message To UK Marketers...]
Marlon,
Its me again. Sorry for the double post but I just read a tweet from Michel Fortin
He points to an article that exposes those faux weight loss blogs advertised on http://www.msnbc.com
The weight loss pictures were just fakes made in photoshop!
http://bit.ly/3uDrR
Thing is, my gut tells me faux blogs will convert like crazy, especially if you say so. And there isn’t anything wrong if they are done responsibly.
But what those others have done will destroy their credibility and make it bad for all of us Internet Marketers.
Sorry but I just had to rant there.
All the best.
Eric B
[Eric, the larger picture is ORIS. Keep SCANNING for those Tipping Point ideas that give you the edge. This is just an EXAMPLE. And while some use fake photos, I'm sure some are doing it right. The false evidence thing applies to WEB SITES too. It isn't just limited to faux blogs.]
WOW! I’m constantly bombarded with too much content from too many so-called gurus… but your stuff is worth reading.
Your faux blog format expose R-O-C-K-S!
I can’t wait to get started creating one of my own.
And the multi-page format is nothing short of brilliant. Just one quick comment about YOUR ‘prediction’ multi-page format site – Too many links and too much reading to get to the meat.
By the time I finally got to your real salesletter, I was too tired of reading to read it. As you already alluded to, it needs to be shorter.
Keep up the great work.
[Carl, I feel the SAME way about my own multi pager. Somehow the links expanded to be too many.]
how are ‘faux’ blogs diffent than having a regular blog with ads on it that have your affiliate link in those ads?
I don’t understand the difference.
Also, I have to say that I love the multi-page strategy. It doesn’t feel like I am being sold so much.
It feels more like I am reading a good story and then there is an opportunity for me at the end.
I like the multipage strategy so much I am going to start implementing this immediately.
Thanks
[Shane, you GET the multi page strategy. You could do it all on one page or multi. I personally think multi has its advantages. But the idea is you present some content in a concept or funnel that naturally leads to the conclusion of your product. But it's more content than pitch. It's really not something used very often. And it isn't JUST a free report. Those often don't lead to any natural conclusion. The faux blog LOOKS like a blog but is basically a presell page for an affiliate program.]
Shane
Hi Marlon,
Another great post Marlon it’s a million dollars info, Always appreciate you Sir!
Thanks’
Albert
[Brother Albert, glad you're getting something from it and I'm serving you.]
Hi there, please excuse my ignorance, but I am only just getting started along the Internet Marketing Career path. I currently have a JOB(Just Over Broke) and am really now looking to get this up and running full time.
I still have a huge learning curve ahead of me and hence the reason I purchased Ockham’s Razor! I have only managed to read several pages so far but am looking forward to reading through it by end Feb.
As I said before, please excuse my ignorance, but I do not understand what I am supposed to do with the above post? Can I use it on my own website, I have looked for the links on msnbc and can’t seem to find them? I said before, huge learning curve, I think I should change that to astronomical!!!
Any way Marlon, out of the hundreds of emails I receive each and every week trying to promote me stuff, I must say that in the last week or so yours have been refreshing, there has not been the pushy sales bit all the time and you have given good quality content, even if I do not quite understand it yet!!!
Thanks
[Alan, go you have my free ebook yet? Why don't you download it and START there. Today's lesson was more advanced. Start here: http://www.bestofmarlonsanders.com ]
Great article. Everybody should read it. Your articles have given me the confidence and nouse to get cracking. Setting up new domain name and beginning to motor. Thanks again
[Hey Tony, I'm so happy to hear you're crackin' now! That's where the fun, excitement and profit is.]
Hey Marlon,
I am working on the Design dashboard and it would impress the hell out of me if you would change Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 to 7.0 on your website or just leave the 5.0 out all together on your dashboard
Kal
PS. It makes your program dated and it’s not ……. aw! you know what I mean.
[Kal, I know what you mean. There is a cosmetic difference between 5.0 and 7.0. They changed the color scheme. From what I saw the functions are the same. As I recall, we created the product with 6.0, not 5.0, but I could be wrong on that. I don't remember off the top of my head. If we get time, I'd like to redo the videos with the most current version. Although like I say, in terms of function, I think everything works the same as far as the features we teach. You need to understand a few basics, gradients, text, layers, the fx tool, the canvass, how to move objects around, how to do drop shadows, textures.]

Marlon, you’re a master internet marketing genius who share it all. I wondered if I could get over to the top within a year in my internet marketing business. I want to be a pro like you in the marketplace. Do you have any advice for me? If you do, I would be very grateful.
[Justice, sure. My best advice for free is in my weekly ezines that are posted here on the blog. And at: http://www.bestofmarlonsanders.com But I'll give you the big secret right here right now. Find out what people are buying then give 'em a really good reason to buy it from you. If you want a product that has more and deeper info, try: http://www.marlonsanders.com/ockham ]
Hi Marlon,
You’ve got lots of interesting stuff going on in this email.
As it’s late – just got back from dinner with friends here in the London, England, I won’t read all of it now.
Right now, my son and I are just getting our first website up and running to promote our first product on the Internet. So in between working 6 days a week and doing the Web Stuff in the evenings, I’ll have to explore what you’ve got to offer once we’re up and running.
However, the various methods for increasing traffic to web pages (Blogs, Twitter, Affiliate links) and so on all sound good. Right now just got to get the Sales letter completed and get our first Ad out on Google.
Hope to catch up with you again.
Best Wishes
Guido Reidy & his son, Matthew Reidy
Ps. Check out my son’s website here in the UK. He’s already got some Ads and Affiliate links going. He runs an Auto Tuning Business. http://www.reidyremaps.co.uk
[Hi Guido, to change your email address, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails and then on the next page there will be an EDIT link where you can change your email. Good luck on oyr new product.]
Hi Marlon!
Your info is over the top. The ideas are clear, concise and easy to follow. Keep up the good work and keep on sharing!!
[Hey Jim, thanks brother.]
Hi!
I have applied for a reseller number after reading “If you don’t have a reseller ID, just go to . . . and sign up. It only takes 2 minutes.” and have signed up twice. I have not rec’d the ID yet. How long does that take?
Thanks,
Jim
[Jim, we had some serious fraud attempts so we went to manually approving. I'm asking Tim to look at what's up.]
Hi Marlon,
Thank you per your email relative to the Ockham’s Razor System I like the idea so much.
I just need wait to have available my credit card in order to learn from the Ockham’s Razor System.
Receive warm regards,
With blessings,
Gabriel
Marlon,
The reference to the Blog Ads was enlightening. It left me going “Hmm”.
I checked out a few other links and I like it. You make internet selling “palatable” again. I linking up with you.
Thanks.
Hey Kaaren,
The Faux Blogs are interesting. I’ll probably do a little video on ‘em.]
